A round brilliant lab grown diamond is held in four claws over a hidden halo, and the band beneath it is finished with a hand worked texture rather than a mirror polish. The surface is stippled all over and bordered with fine milgrain beading, which catches light in a soft diffuse way instead of reflecting it sharply. Set into that texture on each shoulder are two small accent diamonds, dropped flush into the metal so they sit level with the surface and nothing protrudes. The result is a ring with the weight and presence of an antique piece and none of the fragility.

Band details

The shank is wider than a standard solitaire band and carries a stippled hand applied texture across its whole outer surface, framed top and bottom by milgrain beading. Two round accent diamonds are flush set into each shoulder, sunk level with the metal so the profile stays smooth. The inside of the band is polished flat for comfort. Because the texture is applied by hand, no two rings carry an identical surface.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating, or solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Yellow gold shows the texture best and gives the warm antique look in the photographs. White gold, rhodium finished, turns the same texture into something cooler and more modern. Rose gold gives the softest reading of the surface. Every metal is hallmarked and every carat weight is available in every metal.

Is the centre stone a real diamond
Yes. A lab grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond and is graded on the same scale by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the centre stone is included at no extra cost with every order.

Will the texture wear smooth
It softens gradually over many years of daily wear, which most owners like. If you ever want it sharpened we can re-cut the texture and the milgrain during a service.

What is flush setting
The stone is dropped into a hole drilled in the metal and the surrounding surface is burnished over its edge, so the table of the diamond sits level with the band. It is the most protective setting there is and nothing catches.

Can I wear a wedding band beside it
Yes. The shank is straight. A plain band pairs cleanly, and a matching textured band is the strongest look if you want the pair to read as a set.

Is a textured band harder to clean
Not really. Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush lift anything caught in the texture. We also clean and re-polish the ring free of charge for life.

How long does it take to make
Made to order rings usually leave our workshop within 10 to 14 working days. We confirm the date by email once your size is set.
