A round brilliant lab grown diamond held in four slim curved claws, with a hidden halo of small diamonds set around the base of the stone and a completely plain tapered band. This is the quietest version of the hidden halo idea. There is no pave on the shoulders, so the band contributes nothing but a clean line of polished metal, and every small diamond in the ring is concentrated in one place, out of sight from above. The result reads as a plain solitaire when you look down at your hand, then shows a bright collar of light the moment the ring turns. Four claws rather than six also means less metal crossing the crown, so more of the round is visible face up. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. With no pave on the band, the metal itself is the design, so its colour carries the whole ring. Yellow and rose gold give a warm frame around a white centre stone, white gold disappears into the diamond for a single bright form. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps a plain polished band free of dents for longer.

Frequently asked questions

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small diamonds set around the base of the centre stone, facing outward instead of upward. From above the ring looks like a plain solitaire. From the side the halo shows as a bright band underneath the diamond.

Why four claws instead of six?
Four claws cross less of the crown, so more of the diamond is visible face up and the outline stays a clean circle. Six claws grip a little more securely but cover more of the stone.

Why is the band plain?
To keep every small diamond in one place. A plain band is also the easiest style to pair with a wedding ring later, since there is no pave to match up against.

Does the hidden halo make the diamond look bigger?
It adds visible width at the base and lifts the stone slightly higher, which makes the whole head read as larger, without changing the diamond you see from above.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
