A round brilliant lab grown diamond with a pear shaped diamond set either side, points facing outward, and a short run of fine pave carrying on down each shoulder. The pears do something a matched pair of rounds cannot. Because they taper to a point as they travel away from the centre, the head narrows at both ends rather than finishing square, which draws the eye back into the round stone at the middle. The small pave beyond them softens the transition from head to band so nothing stops abruptly. It is a compact arrangement, wider than a solitaire but far more contained than a full three stone with large sides. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. White metal merges the round, the pears and the pave into a single tapering run of light, which is how this design photographs best. Yellow and rose gold separate the three elements clearly. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and better protects the points of the pear side stones.

Frequently asked questions

Why pear side stones next to a round?
Their points taper away from the centre, so the head narrows at both ends and the eye is pulled back toward the round stone. Matched round sides would hold the eye at a constant width instead.

What does a three stone ring mean?
The three stones are usually read as past, present and future, one for where a couple began, one for where they are, one for what is ahead. It is why trilogy rings suit both engagements and milestone anniversaries.

Does the carat weight include the pears and pave?
No. The carat option you choose is the weight of the round centre only. The pear sides and pave are additional and scale in proportion at every carat weight.

Are the points of the pears fragile?
The tips are the most exposed part of any pear, so each sits under a claw shaped to wrap the point. Protected that way the ring is suitable for everyday wear.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.
