A round brilliant lab grown diamond in four claws, with a marquise cut diamond set at an angle on each side, on a plain polished band. The angle is the point. Most three stone rings set the side stones square to the centre, in a straight line across the finger, which is orderly but static. Tilting each marquise outward and slightly upward breaks that line, so the three stones read as a spray opening away from the centre rather than a row. It also lets each marquise show its full length rather than being viewed end on, which makes the head considerably wider without adding a bigger centre stone. Side stones and band

A marquise cut lab grown diamond sits on each side of the centre, tilted outward rather than set square, with a small round accent between each marquise and the shank. The carat weight quoted is for the centre stone and the side stones are scaled proportionally at every size. The band is plain polished metal.

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Yellow gold, as photographed, outlines each stone so the angled arrangement is easy to read. White gold and sterling silver let the three stones merge into one wide sparkling shape. Why angle the side stones?
Setting them square gives a straight static row. Tilting them outward makes the three stones read as a spray, and it shows each marquise along its length rather than end on, which widens the face of the ring.

What does a three stone ring mean?
Traditionally the three stones stand for past, present and future. Practically, side stones widen the ring and add total carat weight for less than the cost of one larger centre.

Does the carat option include the side stones?
No. The carat weight you choose is the centre stone. Side stones are additional and scaled to suit it so the proportions stay correct at every size.

Are the marquise points protected?
Yes. Each point sits in its own claw, and because the marquises are tilted inward toward the centre their outer points sit closer to the shank where they are less exposed.
