A radiant cut lab grown diamond held by four claws that divide into two fine points at the tip, over a concealed halo, on a plain slim band.

A split claw is a small piece of engineering that solves a specific problem on cornered stones. A radiant has bevelled corners rather than points, and a single heavy prong gripping one of those bevels covers a noticeable amount of the stone. Splitting the tip into two fine points spreads the same holding force across the corner from both sides, so the metal touches the diamond in two narrow places instead of one broad one and considerably less of the outline is hidden. The split also has a visual effect, since each claw now reads as a small V rather than a blunt tab, which is the detail that gives this style its slightly antique character. Beneath the stone a concealed halo runs round the basket wall, and the band is left plain so those two details at the head are the whole of the ring.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Are split claws as secure as ordinary claws
Yes. Each split claw grips the corner at two points rather than one, which distributes the holding force better across a bevelled corner.

Why choose a radiant rather than an emerald cut
They share the same outline, but the radiant is brilliant faceted and sparkles rapidly, while the emerald cut is a step cut with slow broad flashes.

Is the concealed halo visible
From the side and at an angle, yes. From directly above it is hidden beneath the stone.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The band carries no stones.

How long does the ring take to make
