A radiant cut lab grown diamond in four claws on a band with flat outer faces and crisp edges, tapering slightly as it rises toward the head.

Most plain bands are rounded on the outside, which is comfortable and forgiving but gives the metal a soft indistinct edge. A flat outer face with defined corners behaves differently. It carries a single hard highlight along each edge instead of a broad diffuse one across a curve, so the shank reads as two clean bright lines running to the stone rather than as a shiny tube. That squareness is the right partner for a radiant cut, which is itself a rectangle with cropped corners, and the two geometries agree with each other in a way a round band and a rectangular stone never quite do. Tapering the band as it approaches the head narrows those lines where they meet the setting, which makes the stone look wider than the metal supporting it, and the inside is still rounded so nothing is lost in comfort.

Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Is a flat band less comfortable than a round one
Not here. The outside is flat but the inside is domed, which is the surface that actually touches the finger.

Why does the band taper

Does a flat edged band show scratches more
