A large radiant cut lab grown diamond framed by a halo cut square at the corners rather than rounded, on a shank pave set along both shoulders.

Halos are usually built to a soft outline because rounding the corners is easier to set and more forgiving of small errors. Squaring them, as here, is a deliberate choice that changes the character of the ring. A squared halo repeats the geometry of the radiant instead of softening it, so the finished head reads as one larger rectangle with crisp corners rather than as a stone floating inside a cushion of light. On the hand that gives the ring an architectural, Art Deco look rather than a romantic one, and it makes the centre stone appear larger than a rounded halo of the same stone count would, because the bright area extends all the way into the corners instead of curving away from them. Setting it requires the corner stones to be graded down in size so the row keeps its spacing as it turns, which is the slow part of the work.
