This ring is built around a proportion trick. The band is drawn as thin as a shank can safely be made, and the two round accents beside the radiant are kept deliberately small. Against that restraint the radiant cut centre stone looks enormous. Nothing on the ring is scaled up to match the diamond, so the diamond is the only thing your eye has to measure.

The radiant itself is a cropped corner rectangle cut with a brilliant pattern beneath, which means it holds the crisp architectural outline people love in an emerald cut but throws the broken fire of a round. On a whisper thin band that fire has nowhere to hide.

Band details

The shank is a very fine rounded wire that tapers as it approaches the head, so the accents appear to sit directly on the finger. A band this slim makes the centre stone look at least a size larger than the same diamond on a standard shank. It stays light on the hand and disappears under a stacked band.

Metal options

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Yellow gold gives the thin shank a warm hairline that flatters the rectangular outline. Rose gold makes it gentler. White gold and sterling silver make the band recede almost completely so the diamond appears to float. Every metal is finished by hand in our workshop.

Is a thin band strong enough for daily wear?
Yes in 10K, 14K and 18K gold, which is why we recommend those metals for this design. We build the shank to a safe minimum thickness and reinforce it where it meets the head. Sterling silver is softer and better suited to occasional wear.

Does a thin band really make the diamond look larger?
It does. The eye judges the stone against whatever sits beside it, so a narrow shank and small accents give the centre nothing to compete with. It is the cheapest way to gain apparent size.
