A radiant cut lab grown diamond in four claws, with each shoulder formed into a kite shaped plate carrying three graduated round diamonds inside a milgrain border, and a single bezel set round diamond sitting further down the shank on its own.

The bezel station is the detail worth explaining. Antique rings often placed one small stone well below the shoulder, separated from everything else by bare metal, and the reason was compositional rather than decorative. A shoulder cluster ends abruptly, and the eye travelling down the band from the centre stone hits that ending and stops, which makes the ring look front heavy. A single stone placed a short distance beyond gives the eye somewhere else to land, so the design appears to continue around the finger even though the metal between is completely plain. The milgrain does related work. Those tiny beads along the kite's edge are cut with a wheel after setting, and they catch light at a different angle from both the flat gold and the diamonds, so the border between plate and shank never reads as a hard machined line.

Band details

The shank is fine and plain between the kite shoulder and the bezel station, and plain again below it. The milgrain appears only on the kite plates and around the bezel, so it marks the set areas rather than running the whole way round.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. Yellow gold is shown in the photographs, which is the metal milgrain suits best because the beads hold a shadow against the warm colour.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales.

Yes. The lowest part of the shank is plain, so resizing is done below the bezel stations.

Each ring is made to order. Production usually takes twelve to sixteen working days before dispatch.
