A radiant cut lab grown diamond is set low on a band that carries a row of pave with a line of milgrain beading running along each side of it. That beading is the detail worth noticing. Band details

The shank is a narrow band whose upper face is given to the pave row and whose two outer edges carry the milgrain. The lower half of the band is left plain and smooth so it sits comfortably and can be resized. The low setting height means the ring passes easily under gloves and sleeves.

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Yellow gold makes the milgrain beading catch light and read clearly as a border. Rose gold warms the whole shank. White gold and sterling silver make the beading crisper and give the ring an Art Deco character. Every metal is finished by hand in our workshop.

What is milgrain?
Milgrain is a border of tiny raised metal beads run along an edge with a hand tool. It was standard finishing in Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco jewellery, and it softens a hard edge by scattering light along it.

Why set the stone so low?
A low setting is more comfortable, less likely to catch and less likely to be knocked. It also keeps the ring visually calm, because the diamond sits within the line of the band rather than standing above it.

What is a radiant cut diamond?
A radiant cut is a rectangular or square stone with cropped corners and a brilliant faceting pattern underneath. It gives the clean outline of an emerald cut with the fire of a round brilliant.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?

14K and 18K gold are the most durable choices for a ring worn every day. 10K is harder still. Sterling silver is softer and suits gentler wear or a first ring.
