Radiant Cut Lab Grown Diamond Halo Ring on a Pave Shank

A radiant cut lab grown diamond surrounded by a close set halo of round brilliants that follows the cushioned rectangular outline of the stone, on a shank pave set along both shoulders.

A halo is usually chosen to make a stone look larger, and it does, but on a radiant it also solves a problem of shape. A radiant has cropped corners, so its outline is a rectangle with the corners cut off, and on the hand that outline can read as slightly indecisive, neither a true rectangle nor a cushion. Wrapping it in a halo of small rounds rebuilds the corners in light, so the finished shape reads as a clean softened rectangle with a bright edge. The halo also sits at the same height as the girdle rather than below it, which protects the corners of the centre stone from knocks, and because a radiant is brilliant faceted the small stones flash on the same timing as the centre and the whole head behaves as a single unit rather than a stone with a frame around it. The pave shoulders continue the line at a narrower width so the head appears to grow out of the band.

Band details

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. Rose gold is shown in the photographs, where the warm metal outlines the halo clearly against the colourless stones.

Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

How much larger does a halo make the stone look
A close set halo of this kind typically adds the visual size of roughly half a carat to a carat, depending on the size of the centre stone.

Is a halo hard to clean
It has more edges than a plain setting, so it collects more. Rinse it in warm water with a drop of washing up liquid and a soft brush, and we clean and check it free of charge whenever you send it in.

What is the difference between a radiant and a cushion cut
A radiant has straight sides and cropped corners. A cushion has curved sides and rounded corners. Both are brilliant faceted.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The back of the shank is plain, so resizing does not disturb the pave or the halo.

How long does the ring take to make
Each ring is made to order. Halo setting is close work, so allow fourteen to eighteen working days before dispatch.
