A radiant cut lab grown diamond enclosed in a full bezel and lifted clear of the finger on a cathedral arch. Underneath the bezel the gallery is cut away into an open V, so from the side you look straight through the setting rather than at a wall of metal. That combination is unusual. A bezel is normally chosen to sit low and flat, and putting one on a cathedral arch instead gives the security of a full rim with the height and the underside light of a raised setting. The shank is fine and rounded, rising smoothly into the arch. There are no claws anywhere on the ring. E colour, VVS2 clarity, free IGI certificate. Band details

A fine rounded band that rises into a cathedral arch to meet the bezel and runs unbroken around the rest of the finger. No stones, engraving or milgrain.

Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. A bezel places solid metal directly against the diamond, so the contrast is stronger here than on a claw setting. Yellow and rose gold frame the radiant in a warm outline and pick out the arch from the side. White gold and sterling silver let the rim disappear into the stone.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from your other radiant bezel ring?
That one sits low, with the bezel meeting a straight shank and only a fine gallery beneath. This one lifts the bezel on a cathedral arch and cuts the gallery into an open V, so the profile is considerably taller and you can see through the setting from the side.

What is a cathedral setting?
The shoulders of the band rise in an arch to meet the head rather than joining it flat. It adds height, lifts the stone and lets light in from beneath.

Is a radiant cut the same as an emerald cut?
No. They share the rectangular outline with cropped corners, but an emerald cut is step faceted and gives broad flashes, while a radiant is brilliant faceted underneath and sparkles far more.

Is a bezel more secure than claws?
Yes. A continuous rim holds the whole girdle rather than gripping at four or six points, and there are no prongs to bend or snag.

Does the raised setting catch on things?
It sits higher than a low bezel, but the outside of the bezel is smooth with no protruding claws, so it is still far less prone to catching than a claw set head at the same height.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.
