Because two accent shapes are used, metal contrast decides how clearly you read the difference between them. Yellow and rose gold outline each accent and make the mix obvious. White gold blends them into a single run of light and the design reads quieter. For everyday wear 14K is harder than 18K and holds small step cut accents level for longer.

Frequently asked questions

Why mix round and emerald cut accents?
Because they behave differently in light. Rounds give fine scattered sparkle, emerald cuts give broad flashes. Together they create contrast along the band instead of a uniform glitter. If you prefer one consistent effect, our plain pave radiant listings are the simpler choice.

What is a radiant cut?
A hybrid. It has the rectangular outline and cropped corners of an emerald cut but brilliant faceting inside, so it sparkles like a round while keeping a rectangular shape. It is the most brilliant of the rectangular cuts.

Are small emerald cut accents fragile?
They have straight edges and corners rather than a curve, so they must be set level and with the corners covered. Set properly they are no more vulnerable than any other accent, and the lifetime setting check covers them.

Does the carat apply to the accents?
No, the carat you select is the centre stone. The accents stay proportionate to the design.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
