A radiant cut lab grown diamond over a hidden halo, set in white gold. White metal is the deliberate choice here rather than an incidental one. A radiant has brilliant faceting inside a rectangular outline, which means it returns a great deal of light, and a cool white setting keeps that light reading as clean and colourless as possible instead of warming it. Set the same E colour stone in yellow gold and the metal reflects warmth back into it; in white gold nothing competes with the diamond. It is a gold alloy finished with rhodium plating, and that plating gradually wears, so the ring will need replating every few years to stay bright. Yellow and rose gold never need that. If you want the cool look with no upkeep, ask us about platinum instead.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from your other radiant hidden halo rings?
The others are separated by what the band does: one has pave across the setting, one a pave band, one a long pave run down the shank. This one has a plain shank and leads on the white metal itself. If you want diamonds on the band as well, buy one of those instead.

Does white gold make the diamond look whiter?
It avoids adding warmth, which is not quite the same thing. A colourless stone stays colourless in any metal, but a yellow or rose setting reflects colour into the stone and can make it read slightly warmer. In white gold there is nothing to reflect.

How often does white gold need replating?
Typically every two to four years depending on how hard the ring is worn. It is a routine jeweller's service, not a repair. We mention it because buyers are often surprised by it later.

What is a radiant cut?
A hybrid: the rectangular outline and cropped corners of an emerald cut with brilliant faceting inside, so it sparkles like a round while keeping a rectangular shape. The cropped corners also make it more durable than a princess cut, which has sharp exposed points.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time to your address.
