Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. A hidden halo shows most clearly in a white metal, because the small stones under the basket read as a bright band rather than blending into warm gold. In yellow or rose gold the halo becomes a quieter detail that only the wearer really notices. For daily wear we recommend 14K, which is harder than 18K and holds bead set pave better over the years.

Frequently asked questions

What is a hidden halo?
It is a ring of small diamonds set around the outside of the basket, below the centre stone. From directly above you do not see it. From the side and on the hand it adds a line of light under the main diamond and makes the centre look slightly larger.

Why does a radiant cut look different to an emerald cut?
Both are rectangular, but an emerald cut has long open step facets that show flashes of light, while a radiant has brilliant style faceting that breaks light into many small sparkles. A radiant is the better choice if you want a rectangular shape with round brilliant fire.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. It has the same carbon structure, hardness and optical properties as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it was grown in a laboratory rather than formed underground.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone is included with every order, recording its colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

Will the pave stones fall out?
Bead set pave is secure when it is cut properly, and ours is set by hand and checked before dispatch. We also offer a lifetime prong and bead check, so bring the ring in or send it back for a service and we will tighten anything that has moved.

Which carat suits my hand?
A 2 carat radiant reads as a substantial but wearable stone on most hands. At 4 and 5 carat the ring becomes a statement piece and covers more of the finger. Because a radiant is rectangular it looks larger than a round of the same weight.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days from order, plus shipping time.
