It borrows the outline and cut corners of an emerald cut but is faceted like a brilliant beneath the table, so it keeps a clean architectural silhouette while throwing the scattered fire of a round. That combination is why it suits a pave band so well. The line of small brilliants along the shoulders picks up the same kind of sparkle the centre stone produces, so the whole ring reads as one continuous run of light rather than a bright stone sitting on a quiet band. Band details

Round accent diamonds are pave set in a continuous line along both shoulders and part way around the shank, held by fine shared beads raised from the metal itself. The base of the shank is left plain for comfort and to keep resizing straightforward.

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Yellow and rose gold set a warm line beneath the pave and make the cut corners of the radiant read clearly. White gold and sterling silver merge the pave into the centre stone so the band appears to be made entirely of diamonds.

What is a radiant cut?
A rectangular stone with cropped corners like an emerald cut, but faceted as a brilliant underneath. You get the clean geometric outline of a step cut with the sparkle of a round, which is why it appeals to people torn between the two.

How does a radiant differ from a cushion?
A cushion has soft rounded corners and larger facets that give broad flashes. A radiant has straight cropped corners and finer, more scattered sparkle. The radiant reads sharper and more modern, the cushion softer and more antique.

Does a radiant hide inclusions well?
Better than an emerald cut. The brilliant faceting breaks light up across many small facets, which disguises small inclusions in a way a step cut cannot.

Will the pave stones come loose?
Pave is held by small beads worked up from the shank itself, not glue. It is a durable traditional technique, and every order includes a lifetime prong and pave check so anything that loosens through wear can be tightened.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.
