Metal options

A cigar band puts a large area of uninterrupted metal on the finger, so the colour is a much bigger part of this design than it would be on a fine shank. Yellow gold gives the boldest result and is the classic pairing for a cigar band. White gold reads cooler and more understated. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps a wide polished surface free of scratches for longer.

Ring size

Every ring is made to your finger size, so choose your size at checkout. A cigar band is wider than a standard shank and wide bands can feel slightly tighter, so if you are between sizes we suggest going up. Ask us for a free size guide before ordering if you are unsure.

What is a radiant cut?

What is a cigar band?
A wide, flat, heavy band, much thicker than a standard shank. The name comes from the paper ring around a cigar. It gives a ring real physical presence and a contemporary look.

Does a wide band fit differently?
Slightly. A wide band covers more of the finger and can feel snugger than a thin one at the same size, so it is common to go up a quarter or half size. Tell us your usual size and we will advise.

Is a radiant cut more sparkly than an emerald cut?
Yes, noticeably. They share an outline but not their faceting. An emerald cut gives broad calm flashes, a radiant gives fine bright sparkle. Choose the radiant if you want a rectangular stone that still catches light like a round.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

How long does it take to make?
