A radiant cut lab grown diamond held at its cropped corners by four claws on a deliberately thin plain band, with nothing else at all. No halo, no hidden halo, no pave, no accent stones, no detail under the stone. The gallery is left open so light passes straight through beneath the diamond. This is the most stripped back ring in the collection and it exists for one reason. A narrow shank exaggerates the size of the centre stone. Set a large radiant on a wire thin band and the contrast makes the diamond look considerably bigger than the same stone on a wide or paved shank, which is the oldest trick in solitaire design and still the most effective. Band details

A thin plain band running unbroken around the finger with no stones, engraving or milgrain. The shank tapers slightly as it rises to the head, which makes it look finer still directly under the stone.

Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. On a ring with no accent stones the metal is the entire setting. Yellow and rose gold draw a fine warm line under the diamond and make the four claws read clearly. White gold and sterling silver reduce the band to almost nothing so the stone appears to float on the finger.

Why choose a thin band?
Contrast. A narrow shank makes the centre stone look larger than the same stone on a wide band, and it keeps the ring feeling light on the hand. It is the cheapest way to buy visual size without adding a halo.

Is a thin band strong enough for a 5 carat stone?
Yes, when it is made properly. The shank is thickest where it meets the head and carries the load through the gallery, not through the thinnest part of the band. We build every ring to the carat weight you order.

What is a radiant cut?
A rectangular stone with cropped corners like an emerald cut, but faceted as a brilliant underneath. It gives the clean geometric outline of a step cut with the sparkle of a round.

Will it sit flush with a wedding band?
Yes, better than most. With no pave or halo on the shank there is nothing to stop a flat band sitting tight against it.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.
