Pear Cut Lab Grown Diamond Micro Pave Halo Ring

A pear cut lab grown diamond inside a fine micro pave halo, with pave running down both shoulders. The halo here is built from a large number of very small stones set close together rather than from fewer larger ones, which is what micro pave means. Set that way the halo becomes a continuous bright edge tracing the pear outline instead of a visible ring of individual diamonds, tightening to the point and widening around the base curve with no gaps of metal breaking the line. The effect is a stone that appears to have a lit outline rather than a border of separate stones around it. The shoulder pave carries that same fineness down into the band. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Made to order in Surat in ten metals and four carat weights.

Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Micro pave works by hiding the metal between the stones, so white gold gives the most seamless lit outline. Yellow and rose gold keep a fine warm edge visible around the halo, which defines the pear shape more sharply. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and holds a large number of small stones more securely.

Frequently asked questions

What is micro pave?
Pave set with a large number of very small stones placed close together, so the metal between them is almost invisible and the surface reads as a continuous line of light rather than a row of separate diamonds.

How is this different from a cluster halo?
A cluster halo uses fewer, larger stones that you can see individually. Micro pave uses many tiny ones and disappears into a single bright outline. Both enlarge the stone visually, but micro pave keeps the pear shape crisper.

How much bigger does the halo make the stone look?
Typically the head reads around a carat larger than the centre stone measured alone. A micro pave halo adds less bulk than a cluster halo but a cleaner outline.

Do very small pave stones fall out?
Properly bead set micro pave is secure, but it benefits from a check every year or two, more so than larger stones. Our lifetime pave and prong check covers this at no charge.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
Not completely, because the halo extends beyond the width of the shank. A contoured band that curves around the point solves this and we can shape one to match.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.
