Design & Selection
We finalise your design and hand-pick the certified center stone.
Save 20%A pear cut lab grown diamond stands point up between two marquise side stones, and the band beneath it splits into two strands that cross and loop before rejoining at the back of the finger. That loop is the infinity twist, and it is the reason this ring never quite resolves into a straight line. The eye follows the metal around the crossing and comes back to the pear.
Pairing a pear with marquise side stones is a deliberate choice. Both shapes come to a point, so the three stones together read as a single elongated form rather than as a centre stone plus decoration. It is a shape family, not a stack.
The shank divides into two slim strands at the shoulders. They cross once on each side, forming an open loop before meeting the head. The band carries no stones, which keeps the crossing legible. A twisted shank like this is entirely hand shaped, because the two strands have to be identical for the loops to sit level.
Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. White gold and sterling silver make the three stones read as one continuous white shape. Yellow gold picks out the twist of the band clearly. Rose gold gives the whole ring a softer, warmer line. Every metal is finished by hand in our workshop.
This ring is available in a full range of US sizes. Select your size at checkout. If you are unsure of the size, contact us and we will help you measure at home before the ring is made.
We make every ring to order, which means the design can be adjusted. Ask us about an oval or marquise centre, round side stones instead of marquise, a different carat weight, pave along the twist, an engraving inside the shank or a fitted wedding band. Write to us through https://mapplegems.com/pages/contact and a member of our team will reply with drawings and a quote.
What is an infinity twist band?
The shank splits into two strands that cross over each other and loop before rejoining, echoing the shape of an infinity symbol. It is a common choice for engagement rings because of what the shape suggests.
Why marquise side stones with a pear?
Both cuts are pointed, so the three stones share a visual language and merge into one elongated outline. Round side stones would break that line and make the pear look like a separate object.
Is the point of a pear fragile?
The point is the most vulnerable part of the stone, which is why the setting uses a V shaped claw that wraps over and shields it. With that protection a pear wears as reliably as a round.
Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness, refractive index and fire as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it was grown in a controlled environment rather than pulled from the ground.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included with every order at no additional cost.
What wedding band suits this ring?
A band with a V or chevron shape nests under the pear point and follows the line of the marquise stones. We can make one shaped to this exact ring, or supply a straight band if you prefer a small gap.
Which metal is best for daily wear?
14K and 18K gold are the most durable choices for a ring worn every day. 10K is harder still. Sterling silver is softer and suits gentler wear or a first ring.
A lab grown diamond gives you the same optical and physical properties as a mined stone at a far better price for the size and quality. Because the growth conditions are controlled, high color and high clarity stones like the E VVS2 used here are available in large carat weights that would be rare and costly in mined goods. It is also a traceable choice, with a known origin and no mining footprint.
