A pear cut lab grown diamond held in five claws above a hidden halo, on a band pave set three quarters of the way around. Most pave engagement rings stop their stones at the shoulders, leaving the lower half of the shank plain. This one carries the pave much further, running it down past the shoulders and around the sides so the diamonds only stop near the base of the finger where the ring rests against the palm. The stones are bead set flush along a straight band edge rather than scalloped, which keeps the line clean and unbroken over that longer run. Beneath the centre stone a hidden halo lifts the pear and adds light at the girdle. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Because the pave runs so far around the band, very little plain metal is visible from any normal viewing angle. Yellow and rose gold give a fine warm rail holding a long line of diamond, white gold makes almost the whole ring read as light. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and holds a long pave run more securely.

Every ring is made to your finger size, so choose your size at checkout. Because the pave extends three quarters of the way around, this ring cannot be resized far after making, so please measure carefully or ask us for a free size guide.

Frequently asked questions

What does three quarter pave mean?
The pave runs around roughly three quarters of the shank rather than stopping at the shoulders. The remaining quarter at the base is left as plain metal, which keeps the ring resizable within a limited range and puts no stones where the ring presses against the palm.

Why not set pave all the way around?
A fully set shank cannot be resized at all and puts stones under constant pressure at the base of the finger. Three quarters gives nearly the same look with far more practicality.

Why five claws on a pear?
The point of a pear is its one vulnerable feature and needs a V shaped claw wrapping around it. That V plus four claws holding the shoulders and base gives five.

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small diamonds set around the underside of the centre stone, below the girdle. It is invisible from above and only appears from the side.

Can this ring be resized?
Within about half a size in either direction, using the plain section at the base. Beyond that the pave would have to be reset, so we strongly recommend measuring accurately before ordering.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.
