A pear cut lab grown diamond set point upward, on a band that does not run straight across the finger. The shank rises on both sides to meet in a sharp peak directly above the point of the stone, forming a chevron that then sweeps back down and away. The V of the band echoes the V of the pear, so the point of the diamond is framed and protected by the metal instead of standing exposed at the top of a plain round shank. The tip itself is held under a V claw at the peak, with two claws at the wide base of the stone. Everything else is plain polished metal. E colour, VVS2 clarity, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Made to order in Surat in ten metals and four carat weights.

Band details

A chevron shank that rises to a clean point above the diamond and tapers as it curves down each side. Solid polished metal with no stones set into it. The V shape means the ring sits at an angle across the finger and creates its own contour, so it needs no shaped wedding band to sit against it.

This design is defined by the line of the metal, so the colour choice carries it. Yellow and rose gold make the chevron read as a bold graphic shape. White gold and sterling silver soften it so the eye goes to the pear first.

What is a chevron band?
A shank that rises to a point in the middle rather than running as a plain circle. Here the peak sits directly above the tip of the pear, so the band and the stone form one continuous V.

Does the V band protect the point of the pear?
Yes. The point is the most vulnerable part of a pear cut. Setting it under a V claw at the peak of the chevron shields it from knocks in a way a plain shank does not.

Do I need a shaped wedding band with this ring?
No. The chevron creates its own line, and most customers wear a straight band below it or none at all. We can make a matching band if you prefer.

Which way should a pear point?
Point upward, away from the hand, is the traditional orientation and the one shown here. It elongates the finger. Point downward is also possible on request.

Does this ring have a hidden halo?
No. The setting is plain, so the pear stands on its own inside the V.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
