A two ring bridal set pairing a pear cut lab grown diamond solitaire with a contoured wedding band set with alternating marquise and round diamonds. The band is the part worth looking at, it is shaped to curve around the point of the pear rather than running straight across it, which is the only way to get a wedding band to sit flush against a pear without leaving a triangular gap. The alternating marquise stones follow the curve outward like a wreath, so the two rings read as one continuous design when worn together. The pear itself is held in a plain claw setting with a V prong protecting the tip, kept deliberately simple so the band can carry the detail. Every diamond is a laboratory grown diamond, identical in carbon structure, hardness and brilliance to a mined diamond, graded E colour and VVS2 clarity. All gold options are solid gold, never plated or filled. White gold is finished with rhodium for a bright white surface and is the metal shown in the photographs, which keeps the marquise accents reading as one continuous line of light. Is the price for both rings

Yes. The price shown is for the complete two ring set, engagement ring and wedding band together, in the metal and carat weight you select. If you only want the engagement ring, contact us before ordering and we will quote it separately.

Why does a pear cut ring need a contoured wedding band

Because the point of a pear extends down over the finger, a straight band cannot sit against the engagement ring without leaving a visible V shaped gap. A contoured or chevron band is cut with a matching curve so it tucks around the point. Buying the two as a set means the curve is cut to your exact engagement ring rather than approximated afterwards.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond

Yes. A lab grown diamond is real diamond. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale, the same refractive index and the same fire and brilliance as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it was grown in a controlled laboratory over a few weeks instead of underground over billions of years. No jeweller can tell the difference by eye, only specialist equipment reading growth patterns can separate the two.

Is the point of a pear cut diamond fragile

The tip is the one part of a pear that needs protecting, which is why we set it under a V shaped prong rather than a plain claw. The V wraps the point on both sides and shields it from knocks. Set that way a pear cut is perfectly practical for daily wear.

Can these rings be resized

The engagement ring resizes easily because the shank is plain. The contoured band has stones across the front but plain metal at the back, so it resizes within about one and a half sizes either way. If you expect your size to change significantly, tell us when you order and we will leave extra metal in the shank.

Does this set come with a certificate

Yes. Every set ships with a free IGI certificate for the centre stone. IGI is the International Gemological Institute, one of the largest independent diamond grading laboratories in the world. The certificate confirms the carat weight, the E colour grade, the VVS2 clarity grade and the laboratory grown origin. There is no extra charge for the certificate.

How long will my order take and can I return it

Every piece is made to order, so nothing is pulled off a shelf. Production takes about 10 to 12 working days and shipping is 3 to 5 working days after that with tracked international courier. We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery on unworn pieces in original condition.

Why buy a lab grown diamond

A lab grown diamond gives you a materially identical stone for a fraction of the price of a mined equivalent, which is what makes a 4 carat or 5 carat pear centre realistic on a normal budget. Because the origin of every stone is documented from the moment it is grown, a lab grown diamond is conflict free by definition. Growing a diamond also avoids the open pit excavation, land disruption and water use that mining a comparable stone requires, so the environmental cost is considerably lower. For most buyers the practical result is simple, a bigger and cleaner diamond, with a paper trail you can actually verify.
