A three stone ring built on a vine. Two round moissanite flank the oval centre at proper side stone scale, and behind each one a pair of marquise leaves fans outward before the two strands of the shank braid together and wind away around the finger. It gives you the structure of a classic trilogy with the movement of a nature inspired design, which is a combination most rings choose between rather than combining. Design and craftsmanship

The difficulty in this design is transition. The head has to hold three stones in a straight line, but the shank arrives as two separate twisting strands, and the join between the two has to look grown rather than welded. We shape the strands so they split into the leaf settings and the side stone baskets on their way up, which means the whole upper half of the ring is one continuous piece of metal rather than a head soldered to a band. A gallery wire braces the oval from underneath. The band is comfortable on the finger because the twist is on the outside only, with the inner surface finished smooth and rounded. Every piece is finished by hand by our bench in Surat.

How moissanite compares to a diamond

Moissanite is silicon carbide, not carbon, so it is a different material from a diamond rather than a lower grade of one. It measures 9.25 on the Mohs scale against a diamond at 10, which makes it hard wearing and well suited to daily use. Its refractive index is higher than a diamond, so it returns more colored fire. With five stones in three different cuts, the effect is a head that flashes constantly as the hand moves. This ring is sold as moissanite and is never described as a diamond.

White gold, as photographed, keeps the vine crisp and lets the five stones read as one bright cluster. Yellow gold makes the branch look organic and separates each stone with a warm outline. Rose gold is the softest and most romantic. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and holds a fine twisted shank in shape better, and 925 sterling silver is the most affordable way to try the design.

Every ring is made to your finger size, so choose your size at checkout. We make US sizes 3 through 13, including half sizes. Frequently asked questions

Is this a moissanite ring or a diamond ring?
It is a moissanite engagement ring. The centre stone, the round sides and the marquise leaves are all lab created moissanite, and the ring is sold as moissanite. We never describe it as a diamond.

Is this a three stone ring or a nature inspired ring?
Both. The three main stones sit in a line like a classic trilogy, and the leaves and twisted shank give it the organic feel of a vine design. It is the overlap between the two styles.

How large are the side stones?
They are true side stones rather than accents, roughly a fifth of the centre stone in width, which is what gives the ring its three stone proportions. The marquise leaves behind them are much smaller.

Is the twisted band comfortable?
Yes. The twist is only on the outside. The inner surface is finished smooth and rounded, so what touches your finger is a continuous comfort fit shank.

Can this ring be resized?
We would rather make it in your correct size. Resizing means cutting the twisted band and rejoining it, which interrupts the pattern.

Will a wedding band sit flush against it?
A straight band will sit against the shank but not perfectly flat, because of the twist. We can make a matching twisted band that nests into this one, which looks and sits far better.

Does moissanite scratch or cloud over time?
No. At 9.25 on the Mohs scale it resists scratching from ordinary contact, and its brilliance comes from the material itself rather than a coating.

How do I clean it?
Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, working through the openings in the vine and under all five stones. Rinse well and dry with a lint free cloth.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time. Every ring is cut and set only after it is ordered.
