Instead of a continuous line of pave, the accents on this band are set as separate stations with clear polished metal between them. They alternate in size, a larger round then a smaller round, and each one sits in its own east west bar setting so it reads as a distinct point of light rather than part of a strip.

The band itself is fine and completely plain between the stations. The result is a ring that sparkles in spots along the finger and shows a lot of metal, which suits people who find full pave too busy.

How it compares

A pave shoulder puts as many stones as possible in a row. This design does the opposite. Six or seven accents in total, spread out with gaps of bare gold between them, so the metal is as much a part of the look as the stones. It is also lighter and quieter on the finger than any pave version.

Wearing and stacking

The gaps between stations mean a plain wedding band can sit flush without stones rubbing against it. A second spaced band on top repeats the rhythm nicely.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Spacing has to be measured to your exact finger size so the stations stay even, which is why we set them after your order rather than working from a stock shank. Each ring takes about 7 to 10 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth. With so much open metal this design cleans quickly.

Usually six or seven, depending on finger size, arranged so the spacing stays even on both shoulders.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The back of the band is plain metal.

Is a 1.6 mm band strong enough
Yes for normal wear. The shank thickens under the setting. If you are hard on jewellery, our 2 mm styles are a safer choice.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.

Which finger sizes are available
Sizes 3 to 13 including half sizes. Message us before ordering if you need something outside that range.
