Oval Moissanite Scattered Marquise Branch Engagement Ring

The band on this ring is shaped like a branch, uneven in thickness, bending slightly rather than running true, and the accents are scattered along it instead of lined up. Marquise stones sit at angles where a leaf would grow and small rounds fill in between them, and the arrangement is deliberately not the same on both sides.

Asymmetry is the design. If the two shoulders matched, the branch would stop looking like a branch.

How it compares

Our marquise petal vine arranges its stones into matched symmetrical groups. This one refuses to. The stones fall where a branch would put them, which makes it the most informal design in our oval range and the only one where the left and right shoulders are not mirror images.

Wearing and stacking

Because the band is uneven, no straight wedding band will sit flush along its whole length. This design is usually worn on its own.

Made to order in Surat, India

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. An asymmetric ring cannot be checked against a mirror line, so the branch is modelled and approved as a whole before casting and each stone is then set to that model rather than to a measurement. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 14 to 18 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush along the branch from several angles, since the uneven surface holds residue in different places than a smooth band would. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Will my ring look exactly like the photograph
Yes. The asymmetry is part of the model, not improvised, so every ring we make from it is the same.

How many accent stones are there
Around eighteen, mixed marquise and round.

Can this ring be resized
Very little, perhaps half a size. The stones and the shaping run most of the way round.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.

Which finger sizes are available
