Most three stone rings sit on a slim shank so the stones look larger. This one does the opposite. The band is a flat 5 mm wide, and the oval centre with its two round side stones is set low and close against that broad surface, so the whole ring reads as one solid piece of jewellery rather than stones lifted above a wire.

It is a heavier, more grounded look. The flat outer face catches light as a clean sheet of metal on either side of the stones, and because the stones sit low they stay out of the way in daily wear.

Pricing note

The 5 mm band uses considerably more metal than a standard 2 mm shank. That extra weight is already included in the price you see here, so nothing is added at checkout for the wider band.

How it compares

Our slim three stone styles are lighter and look more delicate. This one is the choice if you want a ring with real weight on the finger, or if you prefer a wide band and do not want to wear a separate stacking ring beside it.

Wearing and stacking

At 5 mm the band already fills the space a wedding band would normally occupy, so many buyers wear it on its own. If you want a second ring, a very slim 1 to 1.5 mm band sits best beside it.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. A band this wide is formed and finished by hand, then the three stones are set into it, all after you order in the metal, carat and finger size you choose. Production usually takes 7 to 10 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft cloth keep the flat surface bright. Use a soft brush around the prongs. Because the outer face is highly polished it will pick up fine scratches over time, which a jeweller can polish out.

Questions buyers ask

Will a 5 mm band feel too heavy
It is noticeably more substantial than a standard shank. Most people who choose a wide band want that feel, but if you are unsure, our 2 mm three stone styles are a lighter alternative.

Does a wide band need a larger finger size
Often yes. Wide bands fit more snugly than thin ones, so it is worth going a quarter to a half size up. Message us before ordering and we will advise.

Can it be resized
Yes. The band is solid metal at the back with no stones there, so a jeweller can size it, though wide bands take more work than thin ones.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
