Design and craftsmanship

A scattered layout only looks effortless. Every accent still needs its own seat cut at the correct angle so the tables all catch light together, and because the stones are different shapes and sizes the setter cannot fall back on a repeated rhythm. Our team positions the marquise accents first, since their points define the direction the eye travels, then fills the gaps with rounds until the density looks natural rather than patterned. The two large side rounds are set in individual prong baskets at the same height as the oval, which is what keeps the three stone line reading clearly through all the surrounding detail. Every ring is finished by hand in our Surat workshop.

How moissanite compares to a diamond

Moissanite is silicon carbide, a different material from diamond rather than a lower grade of one. At 9.25 on the Mohs scale against a diamond at 10, it is hard enough for daily wear. Its higher refractive index gives noticeably more coloured fire, which is very visible in a design like this one where stones of several shapes flash at different moments as the hand moves. This ring is sold as moissanite and is never described as a diamond.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a moissanite ring or a diamond ring?
It is a moissanite engagement ring. The centre stone, both side rounds and every accent are lab created moissanite. We never describe it as a diamond.

How is this different from your classic three stone rings?
A classic three stone ring stops at three stones on a plain band. This one keeps the three stone core and then adds a deliberately irregular scatter of marquise and round accents along the shoulders.

Are the side stones large?
Yes. They are full round brilliants proportioned to the centre, not pave, which is why the ring reads as a genuine three stone design rather than an accented solitaire.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
The scattered accents extend past the shoulders, so a straight band meets them at an angle. A contoured band works better and we can shape one to your ring.

Is the scatter identical on both sides?
It is balanced but intentionally not mirrored, which is what gives the design its natural look. Each ring is set by hand, so no two are laid out exactly alike.

Which centre size suits it?
Three carat is the sweet spot, where the centre still dominates but the side rounds hold their own. Two carat gives a more even trio, and five carat makes the accents a supporting frame.

Can accent stones fall out?
Properly cut seats and tight prongs hold them well, and we include a lifetime setting check. Have the accents inspected once a year, as with any multi stone ring.

How do I clean it?
Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush worked between the stones, then rinse and pat dry. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners at home.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time. Every ring is made only after it is ordered.
