Six round accents gather at each side of the oval, largest nearest the centre and tapering out to the smallest where the shoulders meet a completely plain band. There is no pave, no vine and no engraving anywhere else on the ring, which is what makes the clusters read as a deliberate detail rather than decoration. From the top the accents widen the head into a soft, generous shape; from the finger, as in the model photographs, the ring looks bright at the centre and clean at the sides. Design and craftsmanship

Graduating a cluster properly means the stones have to step down in size smoothly while their tables stay on one gentle curve, so the eye reads a single flowing shape rather than six separate stones. Our setters build the cluster outward from the centre, cutting each seat individually and sharing prongs between neighbouring stones so the gold between them stays fine. Because the rest of the band is plain and highly polished, any unevenness in that curve would be obvious, so the clusters are filed and the whole shank re polished after setting. Every ring is finished by hand in our Surat workshop.

How moissanite compares to a diamond

Moissanite is silicon carbide, a different material from diamond rather than a lower grade of one. At 9.25 on the Mohs scale against a diamond at 10, it is hard enough for daily wear. Its refractive index is higher than diamond, which is why small round accents like these keep flashing even in low indoor light. This ring is sold as moissanite and is never described as a diamond.

Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Yellow gold, as photographed, gives the warmest contrast and shows the graduation clearly. White gold merges the clusters with the centre stone for a larger looking head. Rose gold softens the whole design. 14K is the practical daily choice, and 925 sterling silver is the most affordable way to try the style.

Ring size

Every ring is made to your finger size, so choose your size at checkout. We make US sizes 3 through 13, including half sizes. The band is plain below the clusters, so resizing is simple and never touches the settings.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a moissanite ring or a diamond ring?
It is a moissanite engagement ring. The centre stone and all the round accents are lab created moissanite. We never describe it as a diamond.

How is this different from your other cluster rings?
Our petal cluster design mixes stone sizes on a twisted vine band, and our tapered marquise cluster uses pointed stones. This one uses only rounds in a smooth graduation on a completely plain polished band, which makes it the most understated of the three.

Is this a halo ring?
No. The accents sit at the two sides only, so the top and bottom of the oval stay open and the stone keeps its full outline.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
Almost. The smallest accents sit close to the band, so a straight band meets them neatly at the base. A slightly contoured band gives a perfect fit and we can shape one to match.

Can accent stones fall out?
Shared prongs cut into solid metal hold them securely, and we include a lifetime setting check. Have the prongs inspected once a year, as with any accented ring.

Which centre size suits it?
All four work. At two and three carat the clusters and the centre feel like one continuous shape; at five carat the oval dominates and the clusters become a fine border.

Is the plain band easy to keep looking new?
A highly polished band will pick up fine surface scratches with wear, which is normal. We repolish rings for customers at any time, and the lifetime setting check includes cleaning.

How do I clean it?
Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush around the clusters, then rinse and pat dry. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners at home.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time. Every ring is made only after it is ordered.
