Two rectangular radiant cut stones stand upright either side of the oval, their straight edges and clipped corners setting up a deliberate contrast with the curve of the centre. Most three stone rings soften the transition with rounds or pears; this one does the opposite and lets the geometry show. The three stones sit at the same height on a plain polished band, so the whole head reads as one wide bar of light across the finger. Design and craftsmanship

Rectangular side stones are unforgiving to set. Their long edges have to run exactly parallel to the axis of the band, and because the eye follows a straight line it notices a fraction of a degree of tilt that it would never see on a round stone. Our setters build both side baskets to the same height before any stone goes in, then check the tops of all three stones against a flat edge so the head sits level across its full width. The corners of a radiant are its weak points, so each one is covered by a prong rather than left exposed at the edge of the setting. Every ring is finished by hand in our Surat workshop.

How moissanite compares to a diamond

Moissanite is silicon carbide, a different material from diamond rather than a lower grade of one. At 9.25 on the Mohs scale against a diamond at 10, it is hard enough for daily wear. A radiant cut has brilliant style faceting inside a rectangular outline, which suits moissanite well: the broad facets throw large flashes of colour rather than the fine sparkle of a round. This ring is sold as moissanite and is never described as a diamond.

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Yellow gold, as photographed, outlines each stone clearly and emphasises the geometry. White gold merges the three stones into a single bright block. Rose gold warms the whole head. 14K is the practical daily choice for a ring with three substantial stones, and 925 sterling silver is the most affordable option.

Every ring is made to your finger size, so choose your size at checkout. We make US sizes 3 through 13, including half sizes. The band is plain, so it can be resized without touching any of the settings.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a moissanite ring or a diamond ring?
It is a moissanite engagement ring. The centre stone and both radiant side stones are lab created moissanite. We never describe it as a diamond.

What is a radiant cut?
A rectangular stone with the corners cut off and brilliant style faceting inside. It combines the outline of an emerald cut with the sparkle of a round.

How is this different from your other three stone rings?
Our pear and round versions curve with the oval. The baguette version uses long step cut rectangles set low in bezels. This one uses full size radiants set upright, so it is the boldest and widest of the family.

Do the side stones make the ring wide?
Yes, noticeably. The head spans a good part of the finger, which is the appeal of a three stone ring, but it is worth considering if you prefer a compact ring.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
Yes. All three stones sit above the band line and the shank is straight, so a flat band sits neatly against it.

Are the corners of the radiants at risk?
Not as set here. Each corner sits under a prong, which is the standard protection for cut corner stones.

Which centre size suits it?
Three carat and above holds its own against the side stones best. At two carat the trio reads more evenly, almost like three equal stones.

How do I clean it?
Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush around all six prong groups, then rinse and pat dry. Flat topped stones show finger marks more than rounds, so wipe the tables regularly.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time. Every ring is made only after it is ordered.
