The halo on this ring sits below the girdle rather than around it, so from directly above you see only the tips of the small stones showing past the outline of the oval. It is a hidden halo that peeks out, which gives a soft ring of light around the centre stone without adding a visible border to its shape.

The shank is fine micropave, small stones set close together in a low bead setting along both shoulders, so the band stays slim rather than bulking out around the head.

How it compares

A traditional halo sits level with the centre stone and makes it look bigger but changes its outline. A fully hidden halo shows only from the side. This one sits between the two. You get the extra light around the oval and keep its true shape, and the ring still looks like a solitaire from a distance.

Wearing and stacking

A low head and a fine band, so it sits under a flat wedding band comfortably. The lower half of the shank is plain, which keeps rubbing to a minimum.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, including underneath the head where the halo sits. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.
