Oval Moissanite Pear And Milgrain Scroll Wing Engagement Ring

A pear cut sits either side of the oval, and behind each one the shoulder opens into a small scrolled wing outlined in milgrain and set with a few tiny pave stones. The wings sweep back and downward, so the head of the ring is wider at the stones and narrows quickly into the band.

The combination of a brilliant cut pear with antique beadwork behind it is unusual. Most antique designs would use a step cut in that position.

How it compares

Our plain pear three stone stops at the three stones and leaves the band bare. This one adds scrolled wings and beadwork behind them, which turns a classic three stone into an antique piece. Our open scroll wing design uses the same wing idea but without any side stones at all.

Wearing and stacking

The wings sweep down toward the band, so a straight wedding band meets the ring below them without contact.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. The milgrain on the wings is rolled before the pave goes in, and the wings are shaped as a mirrored pair so the scroll turns the same way on both sides of the ring. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 14 to 18 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush along the milgrain on each wing rather than across it, and around the covered points of the pears. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.
