Design and craftsmanship

The shank is worked as two strands that twist around one another, so the band reads as a living vine rather than a plain circle. Where the strands meet the head they branch outward and carry the marquise leaves, which are angled individually so light catches them at different moments as the hand moves. The gallery is left open underneath, which lets light travel through the oval from below and keeps the ring lighter on the finger than its size suggests. It is a moissanite engagement ring. The center stone is lab created moissanite and it is sold as moissanite. We never describe it as a diamond.

How big does the oval look on the finger?
An oval spreads more than a round stone of the same weight because the shape is elongated, so a 2 carat oval reads close to a 2.5 carat round face up. The 3, 4 and 5 carat options step up noticeably from there.

Will the marquise leaf accents catch on clothing?
They are set low against the vine and their tips point along the band rather than outward, so snagging is rare in normal wear. As with any openwork ring, take it off for gardening, gym work and heavy manual tasks.
