Oval Moissanite Milgrain Split Shoulder Pave Engagement Ring

Each shoulder divides into two slender arms as it approaches the head, and the triangular space created by that split is filled with a small panel of pave. Fine milgrain beading runs along every edge, around both arms and around the panels.

The split is what makes the ring look lifted rather than solid. Light passes through the opening under the head, so the stone appears to sit on a frame instead of on a block of metal.

How it compares

Our split V pave shoulder ring runs its pave in two continuous lines down each arm of the split. This one puts the stones in a contained panel instead and edges everything with beading, so it reads as an antique detail rather than a modern one. There are fewer stones here and considerably more metalwork.

Wearing and stacking

The split lifts the head, so a straight band tucks under it more neatly than it would against a solid cathedral. The lower shank is plain.

Made to order in Surat, India

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Milgrain has to be raised after the panels are set, or the beading distorts when the stones go in. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 7 to 10 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush through the opening under the head from both sides, and along the beaded edges, which hold hand cream. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, by about one size. The lower half of the shank carries no stones.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.

Which finger sizes are available
