Oval Moissanite Micropave Halo Split Shank Engagement Ring

A close set halo of very small accents traces the outline of the oval, and behind it the band divides into two strands that each carry their own line of micropave before rejoining at the back. From above you see three parallel lines of light, the halo and the two strands, with dark space between them.

Everything on this ring is small scale. The halo stones are fine, the shank stones finer still, so the effect is dense sparkle rather than a few big flashes.

How it compares

Our bold halo uses large stones and a single band. This one uses small stones and splits the band, which spreads the sparkle over a wider area of the finger while keeping every individual element delicate. It carries more stones than any other oval design we make.

Wearing and stacking

The halo sits close to the finger, so a straight wedding band comes close but the split shank means it will touch pave. A curved band is the better match.

Made to order in Surat, India

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Two parallel rows of micropave have to be set to the same depth and rhythm or the split reads crooked, so both strands are cut and beaded together. Allow 10 to 14 working days for this design.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, including between the two strands where dust settles. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

How many accent stones are there
Around eighty to ninety in total across the halo and both strands.

Can this ring be resized
By about half a size. Pave runs almost the whole way round, which limits resizing more than usual.

Does the halo make the stone look bigger
Yes, noticeably. A tight micropave halo adds roughly half a carat of visual size to the outline.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
