Oval Moissanite Marquise Three Stone Engagement Ring

Two marquise cut moissanites stand upright either side of the oval centre stone, points aligned with the length of the finger. Because a marquise is itself an elongated shape, the three stones together form one long silhouette rather than a row of separate pieces, and the ring reads considerably longer on the hand than its centre carat alone would suggest.

The side stones are set close, with slim prongs at their points and tips so almost nothing interrupts the line. The band stays plain and rounded so the eye goes straight to the trio at the top.

How it compares

Our marquise leaf styles use small marquise stones as decorative accents on the band. Here the marquises are full side stones in a proper three stone layout, sized in proportion to the centre. Compared with pear side stones the look is sharper at both ends, and compared with round sides it makes the ring longer rather than wider.

Wearing and stacking

All three stones sit at a similar height, so the top of the ring is level and a straight wedding band tucks under it neatly. The plain shank leaves room for resizing.

Care

Clean with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft brush, giving attention to the points of the marquises where the prongs sit. Dry with a lint free cloth. Take the ring off before swimming, gardening or lifting weights.

Are marquise points fragile
The points are the thinnest part of any marquise, which is why each one is protected by its own prong. Moissanite is hard and durable, and with the tips covered the stones wear well day to day.

How large are the side stones
They are scaled to the centre stone, generally around one quarter to one third of the centre weight each.

Will the ring look big on a small hand
It will look long rather than wide. On finger sizes 4 to 6 the 2 carat and 3 carat centres keep the trio within the width of the finger.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
