Oval Moissanite Marquise And Pear Cluster Wing Engagement Ring

Either side of the oval sits a cluster of mixed shapes, marquise, pear and round moissanites set at different angles so they fan outward like a pair of wings. Nothing in the arrangement repeats exactly; the shapes are placed to fill the space rather than to march in a line.

The result is a wide, high ring that covers most of the top of the finger. It is our most decorative oval design and it is meant to be the only ring on the hand.

How it compares

A halo repeats one shape around the centre stone. This design mixes three and lets them spread sideways instead of encircling. It covers far more of the finger than any halo we make and reads as a piece of jewellery in its own right rather than a setting for one stone.

Wearing and stacking

Wide and raised. Most people wear this one alone. If you want a wedding band with it, a fine curved band that tucks under the clusters is the only shape that fits.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Every accent in the cluster sits at its own angle and height, so each seat is cut individually and the whole arrangement is built up stone by stone. This is the slowest oval design we make. Allow 10 to 14 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush worked into the clusters from several directions. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth. Have the prongs checked once a year.

Will it catch on things
More than a plain ring, yes. The outer stones sit high. It is a dress ring more than a working one.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The back of the band is plain.

Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
