Oval Moissanite Knife Edge Pave Slim Band Engagement Ring

The band rises to a ridge down its centre and a single fine row of pave runs along each of the two sloping faces. The edges are left clean with no beading, and the whole band is noticeably slimmer than a standard pave shank.

Because the two rows face outward in opposite directions, the ring shows sparkle from whichever side it is viewed, while from directly above the ridge itself catches a single bright line of light.

How it compares

Our double row knife edge design uses larger stones, milgrain edging and a wider band, which makes it distinctly antique. This one keeps the same ridged geometry but strips the ornament off and slims it down. Side by side they are the plain and the decorated version of one idea.

Wearing and stacking

The ridge means a flat wedding band touches only along the centre line. A band with a matching knife edge sits properly against it.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. On a band this slim the two pave rows leave very little metal at the ridge, so the shank is cut from heavier stock and thinned only after the seats are in. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 10 to 14 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush along each sloping face in turn. The ridge shields residue on both sides of itself. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Yes. The ridge is on the outside of the band. The inner surface is rounded like any other ring.

By about half a size. Pave runs well down both shoulders.

Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
