Oval Moissanite Knife Edge Double Row Pave Milgrain Engagement Ring

The band comes to a ridge along its centre line, and each of the two faces that slope away from that ridge carries its own row of pave. Milgrain runs along the outer edge of both rows. From directly above you see one line of stones, but as the hand turns the second row appears and the first falls into shadow.

Twice the pave of a flat band in the same width, and the ridge keeps the two rows visually separate rather than letting them merge into a single mass.

How it compares

Our slim knife edge pave design carries a single row on each face with no beading and a narrower band, which reads as modern. This one adds milgrain and more stone, which pushes it firmly antique. If you like the knife edge shape but not the ornament, the slim version is the one to look at.

Wearing and stacking

A ridged band does not sit flush against a flat wedding band. A band with a matching knife edge, or a slightly domed one, pairs better.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Setting pave on a sloping face is harder than on a flat one because the stones want to slide as the seats are cut, so each row is cut and beaded working from the ridge downward. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 14 to 18 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush along both faces separately and along the milgrain. The ridge shelters residue on either side of it. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

How many accent stones are there
Around fifty across both rows, depending on your finger size.

Does the ridge wear flat
Over many years the very top of the ridge softens slightly. It can be re sharpened during a polish.

Can this ring be resized
By about half a size. Pave runs well down both shoulders.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.

Which finger sizes are available
