Oval Moissanite Half Moon Three Stone Polished Band Engagement Ring

Two half moon moissanites flank the oval, flat edge facing the centre stone and curved edge outward. Cut this way they fill the space beside an oval almost exactly, so the three stones read as one wide continuous shape rather than three separate pieces.

Everything else is deliberately plain. The band is a smooth rounded shank with a high polish, no pave, no milgrain and no gallery detail. All the interest sits in the three stones across the top.

How it compares

Trapezoid and tapered baguette side stones give a three stone ring hard straight edges. A half moon is round on one side, so the whole top of the ring stays curved and the transition from centre stone to side stone is soft. On a plain band that softness is the entire look.

Wearing and stacking

The three stones sit low and flat across the finger, so a straight wedding band lies against the shank without a gap. The plain shank takes engraving well if you want a date inside.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Half moons have to be cut and matched as a mirrored pair, and the flat edges have to sit parallel to the centre stone or the ring looks crooked. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 7 to 10 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush behind the three stones. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Questions buyers ask

How big are the side stones
They are scaled to the centre stone so the proportion stays right. A 2 carat oval takes side stones of around 0.30 carat each, a 5 carat oval takes larger ones.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The band carries no stones.

Do half moon stones chip
The flat edge is the vulnerable part, which is why we set it facing the centre stone where the prongs protect it. Moissanite is hard enough that normal wear is not a problem.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
