Clusters of round accents gather at each side of the oval like petals opening from a stem, and the band behind them twists into a double vine that carries more accents around the finger. The rounds are deliberately mixed in size, larger stones at the centre of each cluster with smaller ones filling the gaps, so the arrangement looks grown rather than drawn. It is the botanical alternative to a symmetrical halo: the same generous sparkle around the centre stone, arranged in an organic shape instead of a perfect ring. Design and craftsmanship

Mixing accent sizes inside one cluster is much harder to set than a uniform row. Each seat has to be cut to its own depth so every table finishes level with its neighbours, otherwise the cluster looks lumpy under light. Our setters lay the largest stones first to fix the shape of the petal, then work the smaller ones into the spaces between them, cutting beads from the surrounding metal rather than adding wire. Behind the head the two vine strands are formed separately, twisted around each other and then soldered where they meet the basket, which is what gives the shank its depth instead of a flat carved line. Every ring is finished by hand in our Surat workshop.

How moissanite compares to a diamond

Moissanite is silicon carbide, a different material from diamond rather than a lower grade of one. At 9.25 on the Mohs scale against a diamond at 10, it is hard enough for daily wear. Its refractive index is higher than diamond, which is why a design like this one, with dozens of small facets crowded around the centre, throws so much coloured fire. This ring is sold as moissanite and is never described as a diamond.

Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Yellow gold, as photographed, makes the vine read as a living stem against the colourless stones. Rose gold is the softest and most romantic option for a botanical design. White gold lets the clusters merge visually with the centre so the whole head reads as one bright shape. For a ring with this much accent setting 14K is the most practical daily choice, and 925 sterling silver keeps the design affordable.

Ring size

Every ring is made to your finger size, so choose your size at checkout. We make US sizes 3 through 13, including half sizes. The vine detail runs part way around the band, so resizing is done at the plain base and does not disturb the setting.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a moissanite ring or a diamond ring?
It is a moissanite engagement ring. The centre stone and every accent are lab created moissanite. We never describe it as a diamond.

How is this different from your other vine rings?
Our braided and milgrain vine designs use even rows of accents along a carved stem. This one groups mixed size rounds into petal clusters at the shoulders and twists the band into two strands, so the sparkle is concentrated beside the centre stone rather than spread evenly.

Does it look like a halo?
It gives a similar amount of brightness around the oval but not a closed circle. The clusters sit at the two sides, leaving the top and bottom of the stone open, which keeps the oval outline visible.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
The clusters flare outward, so a straight band leaves a small gap at the sides. A contoured or curved band follows the vine much better, and we can make one to match.

Can accent stones fall out?
Correctly cut seats and tight beads hold them securely, and we offer a lifetime setting check. Avoid knocking the shoulders against hard surfaces, and have the beads inspected once a year like any accent set ring.

Which centre size works best?
Two and three carat centres stay in proportion with the clusters. At four and five carat the oval dominates and the clusters become a frame, which is a bolder but still balanced look.

How do I clean it?
Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush worked gently between the clusters, then rinse and pat dry. Skip ultrasonic cleaners at home, since vibration is the usual cause of loosened beads on cluster settings.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time. Every ring is made only after it is ordered.
