The band is flat across the top with softly rounded edges and measures about 2.5 mm, wider than a standard solitaire shank. The oval sits directly on it in a simple trellis with no rise at all, so the stone and the band read as one piece rather than as a setting placed on a ring.

A flat top holds light differently from a rounded one. It gives a broad even sheen along the finger instead of a narrow bright line.

How it compares

Our round wire trellis uses a fully round 2 mm band that rolls on the finger. This one is wider and flat, so it sits still and feels more substantial. Against our petite trellis, this is the opposite end of the range: that design tries to disappear, this one is meant to be felt.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. A flat polished face shows finger marks readily and benefits from a wipe with a soft cloth between cleanings. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.
