Counting the centre, this ring carries five stones. A marquise sits immediately beside the oval on each side, angled to follow the curve of the centre stone, and a round follows just beyond it. Both accents are claw set with the metal kept as fine as it can be.

The stones graduate down in size as they move away from the centre, which draws the eye inward and makes the oval look larger than it does on a plain band.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Graduated settings only work if the drop in size between stones is consistent, so the four accents are selected as a matched set before any seat is cut. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 7 to 10 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush around each stone individually. The fine claws leave the girdles exposed, which makes this an easy ring to clean well. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Why marquise next to the oval rather than round
A marquise has a curved side that follows the shoulder of an oval closely. A round leaves a visible gap in the same position.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, by one to two sizes. The band behind the accents is plain.
