An oval moissanite in four slender claws on a plain polished band. No pave, no engraving, no milgrain, no hidden halo. This is the simplest ring we make and everything that could have been added has been deliberately left off.

We are listing what is absent because that is the design. A ring like this only works if nothing competes with the stone, and any addition would make it a different ring. If you want decoration we make plenty of oval rings that have it, and they are better choices for you than this one.

How it compares

Our petite trellis and round wire trellis solitaires are also plain banded, but both shape the metal under the stone into a visible structure. This one does not. The band runs straight into the head and the only thing to look at is the stone and its proportion against the metal.

It is also among the least expensive rings in our oval range, because there is no stone setting labour beyond the centre.

Wearing and stacking

A plain rounded band with no stones is the easiest possible profile to sit a wedding band against, and the easiest to resize.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. On a ring with no decoration the polish is the entire finish, so it takes longer than you would expect. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 7 to 10 working days.

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
