Oval Moissanite Celtic Knot Engraved Shoulder Engagement Ring

Behind the setting each shoulder opens into a pierced Celtic knot, an interlaced band of metal with real openings cut through it so light passes from one side to the other. A single round accent sits just beyond each knot, and past that the shoulders carry fine engraved panels that run to the back of the band.

Almost all the interest here is in worked metal rather than in stones. There are only two accents on the entire ring.

How it compares

Every other decorated design in our oval range uses stones to carry the detail. This one uses pierced and engraved metal instead, with just two accents. It is the right choice if you want an ornate ring that still looks like metalwork rather than like a band covered in pave.

Wearing and stacking

The knots sit flat against the finger, so a straight wedding band meets the ring without a gap and does not obscure the knotwork.

Made to order in Surat, India

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. The knot is pierced by hand with a saw after casting and then filed from both faces, which is the only way to keep the interlace crisp where the strands pass over and under each other. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 14 to 18 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Work the brush through the openings in the knot from both sides, as this is where residue collects most. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Questions buyers ask

Does the engraving wear away
The panels are cut deep enough to last decades of normal wear. Like all engraving they soften eventually and can be re cut.

How many accent stones are there
Two, one beyond each knot.

Can this ring be resized
By about one size. The engraved panels limit how far the shank can be moved.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.

Which finger sizes are available
Sizes 3 to 13 including half sizes. Message us before ordering if you need something outside that range.
