This is a halo built from large stones, not micropave. Each accent around the oval is big enough to read as its own stone, held in shared prongs, and the ring is deliberately scaled to look substantial on the finger. The shoulders continue with accents of a similar size so the whole top half of the ring carries stone.

Around a 2 carat oval the halo adds roughly 4 mm to the outline in every direction, which is why this design wears larger than its centre stone suggests.

How it compares

A micropave halo blurs into a soft ring of light. This one keeps every accent visible, so you see a circle of individual stones. It is the biggest looking halo we make and the right choice if the priority is presence rather than subtlety.

Wearing and stacking

The head is wide and sits high, so a straight wedding band will leave a small gap under the halo. A curved or notched band closes it.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Large halo stones share prongs, so each one has to be seated to exactly the same height or the ring looks uneven from the side. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 7 to 10 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, working behind the halo where dust gathers. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Around 1 to 1.5 carats worth of extra visual size compared with the same oval set alone.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The lower part of the band carries no stones.

Will a wedding band sit flush
Not completely. A curved or contoured band is the usual solution with a halo this size.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
