The oval is held in a full bezel, a continuous rim of metal wrapped right around the girdle with no prongs at all. Around that bezel sits a halo of round pave moissanites, so the ring reads as three clean rings of shape from the centre outwards: stone, polished metal, then sparkle.

Because the bezel does the holding, nothing sits above the surface of the stone. There is nothing to catch on clothing, gloves or hair, which is the main reason people choose a bezel over prongs for everyday wear.

How it compares

Most halo rings sit the halo tight against a prong set centre, which makes the centre stone look larger but blurs where it ends. Here the bezel puts a band of polished metal in between, so the oval keeps a hard outline and the halo becomes a separate ring of light around it. The bezel also sits the whole head lower on the finger than a prong version.

Every ring is made after you order in the metal, carat and finger size you choose, usually within 7 to 10 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush around the halo. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth. A bezel keeps dirt out better than prongs, so this design stays bright with less cleaning.

Does a bezel make the stone look smaller
The metal rim covers the very edge of the girdle, so the face of the oval reads slightly smaller than in a prong setting. The pave halo more than makes up for it in overall size on the finger.

Is a bezel more secure than prongs
Yes. There are no prongs to bend or snag, and the stone is supported all the way around.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The lower part of the band carries no stones.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
