Every accent on this band sits inside its own rub over bezel, a collar of metal folded down over the edge of the stone. Marquise and round shapes alternate along both shoulders, each bezel following the outline of the stone it holds, so the band becomes a row of small metal frames.

Bezels use more metal than claws and show more of it, which makes this the most substantial looking accent band in the range despite the stones themselves being modest.

Wearing and stacking

There is nothing raised anywhere on the band. A wedding band sits against it without any risk of catching, and the two will not wear on each other the way claw settings can.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Each bezel is shaped to its own stone before setting, and the marquise bezels are the harder of the two because the metal has to be worked down over a point without splitting. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 14 to 18 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Bezels shelter the girdle of each stone, so run the brush around the outside of every collar. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.
