Oval Moissanite Beaded Station Accent Engagement Ring

Small accents are set at intervals along the band, and between each one sits a pair of tiny metal beads. The beads act as punctuation, holding the stones apart and giving the shoulder a rhythm of stone, bead, stone rather than a continuous row.

It is a detail borrowed from antique eternity bands, where beads were used to space stones that could not be cut to match perfectly. Here it is done for the look of it.

How it compares

Our spaced marquise duo also leaves gaps between its stones, but the gaps are bare polished metal. Here the gaps are filled with beadwork, so the band reads as decorated all the way along even though the stone count is low. Against a continuous pave row, this design shows far more metal.

Wearing and stacking

The beads sit only very slightly proud. A straight wedding band meets the ring cleanly.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. The beads are raised from the band itself with a graver rather than being added as separate balls of metal, which is what keeps them from wearing loose over time. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 10 to 14 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush along the band in both directions. Beads shelter residue on whichever side faces away from the brush. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.
