Oval Moissanite Bead Set Pave Shoulder Engagement Ring

Each accent is held by four tiny beads of metal raised from the surface of the band with a graver, and a fine rail runs along both outer edges to frame the row. It is the oldest and most traditional way to set pave, and it shows more metal than a channel while still keeping the stones close together.

The row stops well before the back of the band, leaving the underside plain and comfortable.

How it compares

Our channel set band hides its metal inside two walls for a smooth modern line. This one does the opposite and shows every bead, which catches extra light from the metal itself as well as from the stones. Our ultra fine micropave uses much smaller stones for a softer effect.

Wearing and stacking

The edge rail sits very slightly proud. A flat wedding band meets it along that rail rather than sitting perfectly flush.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Beads are raised with a graver one at a time and then rounded with a beading tool. The edge rail is cut last, which is what tidies the row and gives bead set pave its finished look. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 10 to 14 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush along the row in the direction of the rail. Beads are small and residue sits behind them. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

What is the difference between bead set and micropave
Mainly stone size. Micropave uses much smaller stones and finer beads. The technique is the same.

How many accent stones are there
Around twenty six across both shoulders.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, by one to two sizes. The back of the band is plain.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
